Tips:

  • Use a variety of fruits: This will give your salad a more complex flavor and texture. Some good options include oranges, grapefruit, apples, pears, and berries.
  • Fennel and watercress add a nice flavor and texture to the salad: If you don't have these ingredients on hand, you can substitute other herbs or greens, such as mint, cilantro, or arugula.
  • Smoked salt adds a subtle smokiness to the salad: If you don't have smoked salt, you can use regular salt or sea salt instead.
  • The salad is best served immediately after it is made: This will prevent the fruits from becoming too soft and the herbs from wilting.

This fruit salad with fennel, watercress, and smoked salt is a refreshing and flavorful dish that is perfect for a summer picnic or potluck. The combination of sweet fruits, tangy herbs, and smoky salt creates a complex and satisfying flavor that will please everyone at your table.
