FRIED MUSHROOMS WITH DIPPING SAUCE

Fried Mushrooms with Dipping Sauce image

Mushrooms are one of my favorites. I had this dish as an appetizer at a restaurant and couldn't believe how simple, delicious, and easy to make it was. I used the same concept as Shake'n Bake® to make this dish, but instead of baking, I fried them. It can either be served as an appetizer or even side dish and whenever I make it for my friends, they can't seem to get enough!

Tips:

  • Choose the right mushrooms. Use a firm variety of mushroom that will hold its shape well when fried, such as portobello, shiitake, or oyster mushrooms.
  • Slice the mushrooms evenly. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Use a well-seasoned skillet. This will help the mushrooms brown and develop flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet. Cook the mushrooms in batches if necessary to avoid steaming them.
  • Cook the mushrooms until they are golden brown and tender. This will take about 5-7 minutes per side.
  • Serve the mushrooms immediately. They are best enjoyed hot and crispy.

Conclusion:

Fried mushrooms are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer. They can be served with a variety of dipping sauces, such as ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, or marinara sauce. They are also a great addition to salads, sandwiches, and wraps. With a few simple tips, you can make perfect fried mushrooms at home.
