GLAZED APPLE PIE SQUARES

Glazed Apple Pie Squares image

Tips:

  • To make the perfect pie crust, use a combination of butter and shortening. The butter will add flavor, while the shortening will help to keep the crust flaky.
  • Be sure to chill the pie dough before rolling it out. This will help to prevent the dough from shrinking in the oven.
  • When assembling the pie, be sure to brush the bottom crust with egg wash. This will help to seal in the filling and prevent the crust from becoming soggy.
  • Bake the pie at a high temperature for the first 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to finish baking. This will help to create a golden brown crust.
  • Let the pie cool completely before serving. This will allow the filling to set and the flavors to meld together.
