1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 tablespoons oil

2 apples (peeled, cored, and diced)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
⅓ cup maple syrup

Steps:

  • While milk is curdling, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.

  • Spray skillet with cooking spray. Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to pour batter onto skillet. Cook about 2 minutes until bubbles form and the edges start to look "dry". Use a spatula to flip the pancake and cook another 1-2 minutes on the other side. Set pancakes aside and repeat with remaining batter.

Tips:

  • Use a high-quality pancake mix: This will ensure that your pancakes are fluffy and delicious. You can also make your own pancake mix from scratch, but this is more time-consuming.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing will make your pancakes tough. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Let the batter rest for a few minutes before cooking: This will allow the gluten in the flour to relax, which will make your pancakes even fluffier.
  • Cook the pancakes over medium heat: Cooking them over too high heat will make them burn on the outside before they're cooked through on the inside.
  • Flip the pancakes only once: Flipping them too often will make them tough. Flip them once, when bubbles start to form around the edges and the bottom is golden brown.
  • Serve the pancakes immediately: Pancakes are best when served hot. You can keep them warm in a preheated oven or on a warm plate.

Conclusion:

Fluffy apple cinnamon oven pancake is a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast or brunch dish. With its simple ingredients and straightforward instructions, it's a great recipe for beginners and experienced cooks alike. The pancakes are light and fluffy, with a perfect balance of sweetness and spice. The apples add a delicious crunch and the cinnamon gives them a warm and inviting flavor. Whether you serve them with butter, syrup, or fruit, these pancakes are sure to be a hit with everyone at the table.
