Yield 10

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 teaspoon vegetable oil, or as needed
¼ cup warm water
2 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast
1 teaspoon white sugar
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup milk, warmed
1 egg
3 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups brown sugar
1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Lightly grease a fluted tube pan (such as Bundt®) with vegetable oil.
  • Combine warm water, yeast, and 1 teaspoon sugar in a large bowl. Let stand until bubbly and foamy, about 5 minutes.

  • Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and punch down gently to deflate. Divide dough into small or medium balls.
  • Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Dip each dough ball in melted butter, remove with a fork, and roll in sugar mixture until well coated. Arrange in the prepared pan. Cover with plastic wrap or a damp cloth and let rise until almost doubled, about 45 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 35 minutes. Invert onto a large plate; cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Tips:

  • Use warm milk to activate the yeast. The ideal temperature for activating yeast is between 105°F and 115°F (40°C and 46°C). If the milk is too hot, it will kill the yeast. If the milk is too cold, the yeast will not activate.
  • Dissolve the sugar in the warm milk before adding the yeast. This will help to feed the yeast and get it started.
  • Let the yeast mixture sit for 5-10 minutes before using. This will give the yeast time to activate and start growing.
  • Add the butter and eggs to the dough one at a time, beating well after each addition. This will help to create a smooth and elastic dough.
  • Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic. The dough should spring back when you press your finger into it.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size. The dough should be covered with a damp cloth to prevent it from drying out.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) before baking the rolls.
  • Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Conclusion:

These easy yeast rolls are a delicious and versatile addition to any meal. They can be served as a side dish, a snack, or even a dessert. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create these delicious rolls that are sure to please everyone at your table.
