WHISKEY SLUSH

Whiskey Slush image

My mom makes this every year for our Christmas party, and everyone loves it. I have made it for several of my own parties and it gets rave reviews! I like to split the recipe and do half with alcohol and half without. I use food coloring to color one of them pink so people can tell the difference. This recipe makes 4 quarts of frozen slush, so make sure you have containers large enough to hold it all in the freezer.

Tips:

  • Choose a good quality whiskey. The better the whiskey, the better the slush will be. Look for a whiskey that is at least 80 proof and has a smooth, mellow flavor.
  • Use fresh fruit. Fresh fruit will give your slush a bright, vibrant flavor. Avoid using frozen fruit, as it can be icy and watery.
  • Don't over-blend the slush. If you blend the slush too much, it will become too watery. Blend it just until the fruit is broken down and the slush is smooth.
  • Serve the slush immediately. Whiskey slush is best served fresh. If you need to store it, keep it in the freezer for up to 2 hours.

Conclusion:

Whiskey slush is a delicious and refreshing drink that is perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be customized to your liking. So next time you're looking for a cool and refreshing treat, give whiskey slush a try.
