Tips:

  • Choose ripe peaches: Using ripe peaches will give your cobbler the best flavor. Look for peaches that are fragrant and have a slight give when you gently press them.
  • Peel the peaches: Peeling the peaches is not necessary, but it will give your cobbler a smoother texture. To peel peaches, simply score a shallow X in the bottom of each peach and place them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes. Then, remove the peaches from the water and immediately place them in a bowl of ice water. The skins will then slip off easily.
  • Use a variety of spices: Don't be afraid to experiment with different spices in your cobbler. Some good options include cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice.
  • Make sure the cobbler is cooked through: The cobbler is done when the filling is bubbling and the crust is golden brown. If you're not sure if the cobbler is done, insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, the cobbler is done.
  • Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream: Peach cobbler is best served warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream. You can also top it with a crumble topping made from oats, flour, sugar, and butter.

Conclusion:

Peach cobbler is a classic summer dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its sweet, juicy peaches and crispy crust, peach cobbler is the perfect way to enjoy the flavors of summer. So next time you have a craving for something sweet, give this easy peach cobbler recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
