Time 4h30m

Number Of Ingredients 15

2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) cold butter, cut into pieces
2 teaspoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons ice water
1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream
4 teaspoons to 2 tablespoons sugar

  • Fit pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish; pour pumpkin mixture into the crust.

Nutrition Facts : Calories 308.9 calories, Carbohydrate 41.8 g, Cholesterol 63.2 mg, Fat 13.2 g, Fiber 2.5 g, Protein 7.5 g, SaturatedFat 5 g, Sodium 333.6 mg, Sugar 28.7 g

Tips:

  • Use fresh pumpkin puree for the best flavor. You can make your own pumpkin puree by roasting a pumpkin and then pureeing it in a blender or food processor. Or, you can use canned pumpkin puree, but be sure to choose a brand that is unsweetened and 100% pumpkin.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the pie tough and dense. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the pie at a high temperature for the first 15 minutes. This will help to set the crust and prevent the pie from becoming soggy.
  • Reduce the oven temperature after 15 minutes. This will help to prevent the pie from overcooking and becoming dry.
  • Let the pie cool completely before serving. This will allow the flavors to develop and the pie to set properly.

Conclusion:

This easy maple pumpkin pie is the perfect fall dessert. It's rich, creamy, and full of pumpkin flavor. The maple syrup adds a touch of sweetness and depth of flavor that makes this pie irresistible. Whether you're serving it for Thanksgiving dinner or just a casual get-together, this pie is sure to be a hit.
