Way Too Easy Warm Peanut Butter - Chocolate Dip/Spread image

This was a pregnancy-induced creation during one of my hormonal late night snacking periods. I was craving a peanut buttery and chocolate dip for sliced bananas and came up with this. It's very creamy and delicious. Serve warm and dip your favorite accompaniments to your hearts delight, or cool and serve as a cracker spread. It's yummy either way!

This goes with a recipe for tropical fruit kebabs, but I find it works great with anything needing a chocolate dip. You can use it as fondue, too.

Time 8m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

4 dark chocolate squares, broken in pieces
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3/4 cup milk

Steps:

  • Put all ingredient in heavy-bottom pan. Heave over the grill or on stove on low heat, stirring constantly.
  • When thick and smooth, keep warm, but remove from direct heat.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate: The quality of the chocolate you use will greatly affect the taste of your dip. Look for chocolate that is at least 60% cacao content.
  • Temper your chocolate: Tempering chocolate is a process of heating and cooling it in a controlled manner. This helps to stabilize the chocolate and give it a smooth, glossy finish.
  • Add flavorings: You can add a variety of flavorings to your chocolate dip, such as vanilla extract, peppermint extract, or cinnamon. You can also add chopped nuts, dried fruit, or even bacon.
  • Chill your dip before serving: This will help the dip to set and make it easier to dip your treats into.
  • Serve your dip with a variety of treats: Chocolate dip is a great way to enjoy a variety of treats, such as strawberries, marshmallows, pretzels, and cookies.

Conclusion:

Chocolate dip is a delicious and versatile treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is perfect for parties, potlucks, and other special occasions. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make a delicious chocolate dip that everyone will love.
