This is a refreshing punch that isn't as sweet as most. My family loves the tart "wake-me-up" flavor. As an added bonus, this punch won't stain carpeting the way a red punch would! -Cindy Steffen, Cedarburg, Wisconsin

HOW TO MAKE AN ICE RING
This is a GREAT way to make an ice ring for you punch, to keep it cold and tasty! By using punch instead of water your punch won't get diluted as it melts. If you want to make ice cubes use ice cube trays or styrofoam egg cartons. The preparation time is time to make each layer, and does not include the time to freeze each layer.

SWEETHEART PUNCH
An ice ring with fresh strawberries adds an elegant look to the bowl of this popular punch from Gretchen Montgomery of Marietta, Ohio. She writes, "I got the recipe from a friend 30 years ago and have served it at numerous bridal and baby showers, family reunions, rehearsal dinners and wedding receptions. It's not too tart, not too sweet." As an eye-catching option, use a heart-shaped mold to make the ice ring.

ICE RING
I saw this on a morning tv show once, and thought it was such a great, simple idea! It keeps the punch icy cold, but doesn't water it down like ice cubes will. The possibilities are endless, as you can add whatever fruit you like, or even rose petals!

Steps:
- Clear a spot in your freezer that is level and measures at least 14x14-inches.

- Remove mold from the freezer and arrange green and gold kiwis on top of cherries. Use ice cubes and grapes to hold kiwi slices in place. Top with remaining ice and grapes. Carefully fill the mold with remaining water-juice mixture, and add more water as necessary to fill to the top edge of the mold. Place in the freezer until frozen solid, about 24 hours.
- To unmold the ice ring, fill a bowl that is larger than the mold with 1 inch of hot water. Place the mold into the hot water until ice ring separates from the mold, about 1 minute. Transfer ice ring into your punch bowl and serve immediately.
