Tips:
- Choose the right ham steaks. Look for ham steaks that are at least 1 inch thick and have a good amount of marbling. This will help ensure that the ham steaks are juicy and flavorful.
- Score the ham steaks. This will help the ham steaks cook evenly and prevent them from curling up.
- Use a heavy-bottomed skillet. This will help to prevent the ham steaks from sticking to the pan and will also help to create a nice sear.
- Cook the ham steaks over medium heat. This will help to prevent the ham steaks from overcooking and becoming dry.
- Baste the ham steaks frequently with the whiskey sauce. This will help to keep the ham steaks moist and flavorful.
- Let the ham steaks rest before serving. This will help the ham steaks to retain their juices and will also make them easier to slice.
