Steps:
- 1. Place the chicken breast on the bottom of a 5 or 6-quart slow cooker. Top with soup, butter, vegetables, onion powder, salt, pepper and onion. ( I sometimes just use 2 cups of mixed frozen vegetables in place of the peas and carrots.) Pour the chicken broth over the soup mixture. The chicken should be covered; if not, add more broth. Place the cover on the slow cooker and turn on high. Cook on high for 5 to 6 hours. Approximately 1 hour before serving, remove the cover and pull the chicken apart in small pieces or shred. Tear the refrigerator biscuit dough into pieces and place it on top of the chicken mixture in the slow cooker. Replace the cover and cook another hour or until the biscuits are done all the way through. ( you can also take the liner out of the cooker and bake at 400 degrees, until biscuits are cooked. I sometimes do this if in a hurry.)

Steps:
- Thaw chicken breasts and place in crock pot. Add butter, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth and onions. Cook on high 4 to 6 hours or on low for 8 hours. Once the chicken has cooked for the proper amount of time, cut each biscuit into small pieces (approximately 9 each). Add the biscuits and continue to cook 30 minutes to an hour longer, or until the biscuits are done. Remove chicken and shred with a fork. Once shredded, place chicken back into crockpot and mix. Serve hot.
Tips:
- Use a slow cooker liner for easy cleanup. This will prevent the chicken and biscuits from sticking to the pot and will make it much easier to remove them once they are cooked.
- Don't overcook the chicken. Chicken breasts are cooked through when they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Overcooking will make the chicken dry and tough.
- Use a pre-made biscuit mix to save time. This is a great way to make this recipe even easier. Just follow the instructions on the package to prepare the biscuits.
- Add some vegetables to the slow cooker along with the chicken. This will make the dish more nutritious and flavorful. Some good vegetables to add include carrots, celery, onions, and potatoes.
- Serve the chicken and biscuits with your favorite sides. Some good options include mashed potatoes, green beans, and corn.
Conclusion:
This easy crock pot chicken and biscuits recipe is a delicious and comforting meal that is perfect for a busy weeknight. It is made with simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand, and it can be prepared in just a few minutes. The chicken and biscuits are cooked to perfection in the slow cooker, and they are sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
