Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 c graham cracker crumbs
1/2 c butter or margarine
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 c granulated sugar
1/2 c peanut butter
2 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
1 large container of cool whip, thawed
1 bottle butterscoth or hot chocolat fudge

Steps:

  • 1. Mix wafer crumbs and butter and pat into 9 X 13 pan.
  • 2. In a large bowl blend together cream cheese, sugar, peanut butter and vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  • 3. Fold in thawed cool whip, spread mixture evenly over crumbs, one bottle of butterscotch or hot fudge chocolate poured over top. Place Drumstick dessert dish in freezer.
  • 4. Once frozen, sprinkle crushed peanuts as a final touch and put back into freezer. This recipe is DELICIOUS!!! NO cooking and ready to eat right from freezer." ================================

Tips:

  • Choose ripe drumsticks: Look for drumsticks that are plump and have a vibrant green color. Avoid drumsticks that are bruised or have brown spots.
  • Blanch the drumsticks: Blanching helps to preserve the bright green color of the drumsticks and makes them easier to peel. To blanch the drumsticks, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the drumsticks and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they are tender. Immediately transfer the drumsticks to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
  • Use a food processor: A food processor makes it easy to puree the drumsticks. If you don't have a food processor, you can use a blender or a potato masher.
  • Add sugar or honey to taste: The amount of sugar or honey you add will depend on your personal preference. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Chill the ice cream before serving: Chilling the ice cream for at least 4 hours, or overnight, allows the flavors to meld and the ice cream to firm up.

Conclusion:

Drumstick ice cream is a delicious and refreshing dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is made with just a few simple ingredients and can be easily customized to your liking. Whether you like it sweet, tart, or somewhere in between, there is a drumstick ice cream recipe out there for you.
