DOUBLE-CHOCOLATE CHEWS
Steps:
- Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl; stir well, and set aside. Combine 3/4 cup chocolate morsels and oil in a small saucepan; cook over low heat until chocolate melts, stirring constantly. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into a large bowl, and let cool 5 minutes. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, water, vanilla extract, and egg whites to chocolate mixture; stir well. Stir in flour mixture and remaining chocolate morsels. Drop dough by level tablespoons 2 inches apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 8 minutes. Let cool 2 minutes or until firm. Remove cookies from pans; let cool on wire racks.
Tips:
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. A good quality semisweet or bittersweet chocolate will give your cookies a rich, chocolatey taste.
- Be sure to cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This will help the cookies spread and create a chewy texture.
- Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
- Bake the cookies until they are just set. The centers should be slightly soft and gooey.
Conclusion:
Double chocolate chews are a classic cookie that is loved by people of all ages. They are chewy, chocolatey, and have a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. If you are looking for a delicious and easy-to-make cookie recipe, then double chocolate chews are the perfect choice for you. They are sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
