Time 30m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 11

125 g ground pork
4 scallions
1 cup shredded cabbage
10 peeled shrimp
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 egg
2 tablespoons soy sauce
5 drops sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
wonton wrapper
oil (for frying)

Steps:

  • Finely chop scallions and shrimp.
  • Mix with cornstarch, egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, minced pork and cabbage, making sure to mix well.
  • Place a teaspoon of the mixture into the center of each wrapper, pinch together at the top to form a small package.
  • Heat oil and deep fry until golden brown.
  • drain on absorbent paper.
  • Serve with soy sauce or any other dipping sauce that you like.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your dim sims will taste. This is especially true for the meat and vegetables.
  • Don't overwork the dough: Overworking the dough will make it tough. Mix the ingredients until they are just combined, then stop.
  • Let the dough rest: After you have mixed the dough, let it rest for at least 30 minutes. This will allow the gluten to relax and make the dough easier to work with.
  • Roll the dough out thinly: The thinner the dough, the crispier your dim sims will be. Roll the dough out to a thickness of about 2mm.
  • Use a variety of fillings: Dim sims can be filled with a variety of ingredients, such as pork, chicken, beef, shrimp, vegetables, and noodles. Get creative and experiment with different flavor combinations.
  • Be careful when frying the dim sims: Dim sims should be fried in hot oil until they are golden brown. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan, or the dim sims will not cook evenly.
  • Serve the dim sims with your favorite dipping sauce: Dim sims can be served with a variety of dipping sauces, such as sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, or chili sauce.

Conclusion:

Dim sims are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for a quick and easy meal, or they can be served as part of a larger feast.
