Tips:

  • For the Best Flavor: Use a combination of fresh herbs, spices, and vegetables to create a flavorful broth that will infuse the chicken with deliciousness.
  • Choose the Right Chicken: Bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs are the best choice for this recipe as they stay moist and juicy during cooking.
  • Sear the Chicken: Before adding the chicken to the pot, sear it in a hot skillet until golden brown. This will help to seal in the juices and create a crispy skin.
  • Don't Crowd the Pot: Make sure to leave enough space between the chicken pieces so that they can cook evenly.
  • Use a Good Quality Broth: The broth is an important part of this recipe, so use a good quality broth that is full of flavor.
  • Simmer, Don't Boil: Bring the broth to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for at least 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Add Vegetables: Add your favorite vegetables to the pot during the last 10-15 minutes of cooking. This will help them to soften and absorb the delicious flavors of the broth.
  • Serve Immediately: Once the chicken and vegetables are cooked through, serve immediately over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
