Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Mash bananas with a fork.
- Soften butter in a microwave.
- Stir eggs, bananas and butter together.
- Mix in remaining ingredients (except the chopped walnuts). Stir until the batter is fully mixed.
- Add 3/4 cup of chopped walnuts to the batter (and save the remaining 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts for later). Make sure the chopped walnuts are evenly spread throughout the batter.
- Pour finished batter into a nonstick bread pan. Smooth out the top of the batter within the bread pan.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts on top of the batter before placing into the oven.
- Bake in the oven for 65-70 minutes.
- Take out of oven and let the banana bread cool down in the bread pan for 10 minutes. Do not remove the banana bread from the bread pan during this 10 minute cool down period. Use oven mitts as the bread pan will be very hot coming out of the oven.
- After 10 minutes, remove the banana bread from the bread pan. Place the banana bread on a cooling rack in order to completely cool. This cool down may take 1-2 hours. Gently slide a silicon spatula between the banana bread and the bread pan walls if the banana bread is stuck in the pan.

DAD'S FAMOUS BANANA BREAD
By far one of the best banana breads I have ever had! Simple but well worth it! My dad will always make at least once a month. I've made a few changes from my dad's recipe by adding chocolate chips and some chopped nuts. This makes the banana bread even better, still great without those two items though. With any banana bread, make sure your bananas are over ripe or really bruised...this makes for the best bread. So the next time your bananas go bad, make some banana bread or freeze them for later. =)

THE BEST BANANA BREAD
The batter for this easy-to-make banana bread is enriched with sour cream, which gives it a subtle tang and super moist texture. In order to avoid this quick bread becoming tough and chewy, don't overmix the batter.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9-by-5-by-3-inch loaf pan; set aside. In an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat to incorporate.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to the butter mixture and mix until just combined. Add bananas, sour cream, and vanilla; mix to combine. Stir in nuts and pour into prepared pan.
- Bake until a cake tester inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, about 1 hour 10 minutes. Let rest in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a rack to cool.
Tips:
- Properly measure ingredients: Using accurate measurements ensures the correct proportions of ingredients, resulting in a well-balanced and flavorful banana nut bread.
- Use ripe bananas: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful the bread will be. They should have a yellow peel with brown spots.
- Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly: This step helps incorporate air into the mixture, resulting in a light and fluffy texture.
- Mix the dry ingredients separately: This ensures even distribution and prevents over-mixing, which can result in a tough texture.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients gradually: This helps prevent the formation of lumps and ensures a smooth batter.
- Do not over-mix the batter: Over-mixing can result in a dense and chewy texture. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Add nuts and other mix-ins last: This prevents them from being over-mixed and losing their texture and flavor.
- Bake the bread at the correct temperature and time: Follow the recipe's instructions carefully to ensure the bread is cooked through but not over-baked.
- Let the bread cool completely before slicing: This helps the bread set and prevents it from crumbling.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, baking a delicious and moist banana nut bread requires careful attention to detail and following the recipe's instructions. Tips such as using ripe bananas, creaming butter and sugar together thoroughly, and not over-mixing the batter are crucial for achieving the perfect texture and flavor. Additionally, incorporating mix-ins like nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruits can add extra flavor and texture to the bread. Whether you're a seasoned baker or just starting out, experimenting with different variations and techniques will help you create a banana nut bread that is sure to impress your family and friends.
