Tips:
- Use fresh, crisp apples. This will result in a more flavorful applesauce and muffins.
- Peel and core the apples before cooking them. This will make the applesauce smoother and easier to incorporate into the muffins.
- Cook the applesauce until it is thick and bubbly. This will help to concentrate the flavor and make the muffins more moist.
- Use a variety of spices in the applesauce. This will add depth and complexity to the flavor of the muffins.
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can result in tough, dense muffins.
- Fill the muffin cups only 2/3 full. This will allow the muffins to rise properly.
- Bake the muffins until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Overbaking can result in dry, crumbly muffins.
