Categories     Burgers

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 lb ground chuck
1/2 c real mayo
1/4 c dijon mustard
8 slice swiss cheese
3 clove roasted smashed garlic
4 slice of your favorite deli ham
dill pickles slices ( they have them just sliced for sammies now )
hamburger buns
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Divide the ground meat into 4 sections and make 4 patties out of it.
  • 2. You can grill these or fry them. Cook till fully cooked.
  • 3. Mix the mayo, mustard and garlic and salt and pepper in a bowl and set aside.
  • 4. Assemble the burgers. Put the mayo mustard mixture on both the bottom and top half of the buns. Place 1 slice of swiss then place the burger on top of the cheese. Then a slice of ham then another slice of cheese then the pickle slices.
  • 5. If using a grill wrap the burgers in tin foil then place back on the grill. With a heavy pan press the burgers down for 30 seconds. If using a pan just smash them in the pan until the cheese melts.

Tips:

  • For the perfect Cuban burger, use a blend of ground beef and pork. This will give the burger more flavor and moisture.
  • Don't overmix the meat. Overmixing can make the burger tough.
  • Season the meat liberally with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. You can also add other spices, such as cumin, oregano, or chili powder.
  • Form the meat into patties that are about 1/2 inch thick. Make sure the patties are uniform in size so that they cook evenly.
  • Cook the burgers over medium heat. This will help to prevent the burgers from burning on the outside while remaining raw on the inside.
  • Flip the burgers only once. Flipping the burgers too often can dry them out.
  • Cook the burgers until they reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. This will ensure that the burgers are cooked to a safe temperature.
  • Serve the Cuban burgers on toasted Cuban bread with Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard.

Conclusion:

The Cuban burger is a delicious and easy-to-make sandwich that is perfect for a casual meal. With its flavorful blend of ground beef and pork, tangy pickles, and melted Swiss cheese, the Cuban burger is sure to please everyone at your table. So next time you're looking for a new burger recipe, give the Cuban burger a try. You won't be disappointed!
