Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start baking, measure and gather all of your ingredients and equipment. This will help you stay organized and make the process go more smoothly.
  • Use Room Temperature Ingredients: When a recipe calls for room temperature ingredients, it means that they should be at the same temperature as the room you're baking in.
  • Don't Overmix the Dough: Overmixing the dough can make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps the cookies hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the Cookies Until They Are Just Set: The cookies should be slightly underbaked in the center. They will continue to cook as they cool.
