Steps:
- 1. Slice croissant lengthwise almost all the way through. Spread cream cheese on both sides. Spread Nutella on top of cream cheese. Toss banana slices with brown sugar and put in ovenproof pan. Put under a hot broiler for about 30 seconds or until the sugar melts. Put banana slices on top of Nutella and close the croissant. In bowl, mix egg, milk, sugar, rum and vanilla mix until well blended. Dunk croissant into batter, soaking well. Heat a sauté pan over medium heat and coat with a little butter. Add croissant and cook like French toast, turning once. Top with powdered sugar and fresh fruit, if desired. Makes 1 serving. Cooking the Costco Way
Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the croissants will be. Choose a good quality butter, Nutella, and flour.
- Follow the recipe carefully: Croissants are a bit tricky to make, so it's important to follow the recipe carefully. Don't skip any steps or substitute ingredients.
- Be patient: Croissants take time to make. Don't rush the process. Let the dough rise properly and chill thoroughly before baking.
- Don't overwork the dough: Overworking the dough will make the croissants tough. Be gentle when kneading and rolling the dough.
- Bake the croissants in a preheated oven: This will help them rise evenly and prevent them from becoming too dry.
Conclusion:
Croissants are a delicious and decadent pastry that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dessert. With a little time and effort, you can make croissants at home that are just as good as the ones from your favorite bakery. So next time you're in the mood for a special treat, give this croissant Nutella recipe a try.
