Tips:

  • Choose fresh green beans: Look for beans that are crisp and bright green in color. Avoid beans that are wilted or have brown spots.
  • Trim the green beans: Remove the ends of the green beans before cooking. You can also cut the beans into smaller pieces if desired.
  • Use good quality bacon: The bacon is a key ingredient in this recipe, so it's important to use good quality bacon that you enjoy the taste of.
  • Don't overcook the green beans: Green beans are best when they are cooked until they are tender but still have a bit of a bite to them. Overcooked green beans will be mushy.
  • Serve immediately: These green beans are best served immediately after they are cooked. If you need to make them ahead of time, you can cook them and then reheat them gently before serving.

Conclusion:

This crock pot southern style barbecue green beans with bacon is an easy and delicious side dish that is perfect for any occasion. The green beans are cooked until tender and flavorful in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce, and the bacon adds a smoky flavor that takes them over the top. Whether you're serving them at a cookout, a holiday dinner, or just a weeknight meal, these green beans are sure to be a hit.
