EASY CROCK POT APPLE DESSERT

Easy Crock Pot Apple Dessert image

I made this for a potluck at work and everyone asked for a copy of the recipe! Delicious with French vanilla ice cream. Can also vary fruit fillings and cake flavors as desired. I use a 5 qt. Rival crock pot. Others who have tried this recipe and used older and deeper crock pots needed to adjust cooking times.

Tips:

  • To achieve the perfect streusel topping, ensure that the butter is cold and cut into small pieces. This will prevent the streusel from becoming greasy and will help it to hold its shape.
  • Do not overmix the streusel topping. Overmixing will make the streusel tough.
  • If you don't have a crock pot, you can bake this recipe in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1-2 hours, or until the apples are tender.
  • This recipe can be made ahead of time. Simply prepare the streusel topping and apple filling the night before, and then assemble and cook the crock pot apple nut streusel in the morning.
  • Serve the crock pot apple nut streusel warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Conclusion:

This crock pot apple nut streusel is an easy and delicious dessert that is perfect for any occasion.
