Steps:
- 1. In a pot, bring the olive oil to medium-low heat. Add the garlic and stir, allowing it to cook for 1-2 minutes. Mix in the butter until melted. Add the salt, pepper and chicken stock. Raise the heat to high and let it come to a boil.
- 2. Once it is at a rolling boil, add the pasta and cook for as long as the box's directions say. You want it aldente'. I always do the shorter time. Reduce the stove to medium heat and mix in the parmesan until completely melted. Turn off the heat and stir in the cream and parsley. Sprinkle with some parmesan and serve immediately. ( I heat the cream a little in the micro before adding, but do not boil)
- 3. You can add so many foods to this. I just like it plain and simple as always.
Tips:
- For the best flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
- If you don't have heavy cream on hand, you can substitute milk or half-and-half.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
- If you like your pasta saucy, add more chicken broth or milk.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or basil for a pop of color and flavor.
Conclusion:
This Creamy Parmesan Garlic Pasta is a quick and easy weeknight meal that's sure to please everyone at the table. The rich, creamy sauce is made with Parmesan cheese, garlic, and heavy cream, and the pasta is cooked to al dente perfection. This dish is also versatile, so you can add your favorite vegetables, proteins, or herbs. It's a delicious and satisfying meal that's perfect for any occasion.
