1/2 teaspoon Emeril's Original Essence (Creole seasoning)
2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon dried oregano leaves
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 ounces sun-dried tomatoes, softened in hot water, drained and chopped
3 tablespoons chopped black olives
2 tablespoons chopped chives
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
salt, to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 300*F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

  • Emeril's Essence:.
  • Combine all ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight jar or container. Yield: about 2/3 cup
  • Creamy Garlic and Vegetable Spread:.
  • In a bowl, cream together the cream cheese and sour cream. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Adjust the seasoning, to taste.
  • Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Bring to room temperature before serving. (The spread will keep for 3 days refrigerated.)

CREAMY GARLIC SALSA DIP

Creamy Garlic Salsa Dip image

From 100 Best Appetizers Cookbook which was given to me by my swap partner MaField in the Cookbook Swap 2008. This is a nice kick to the standard salsa dips. 2 hours chill time needed before serving. **Updated 10/2009** Due to Lipton not making their soup mix available in the stores any longer, I'm suggesting following rickaholic's hint of using Knorr's Herb & Garlic Soup Mix.

EASY CREAMY GARLIC-SALSA DIP

Easy creamy garlic-salsa dip image

A great dip for the holidays. Just serve w/ fresh cut veggies.

Provided by sherry monfils

Categories     Dips

Time 2h15m

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 1 oz pkg knorr's savory herb w/ garlic soup mix
1 16 oz container light sour cream
1/2 c spicy chunky salsa

Steps:

  • 1. In bowl, mix all ingredients well. Cover and chill for 2 hrs before serving.

Tips:

  • Use fresh garlic: Fresh garlic has a more intense flavor than jarred or pre-minced garlic. If you don't have fresh garlic on hand, you can use 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When sautéing the garlic, make sure not to overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the garlic from cooking evenly and becoming burnt.
  • Use a good quality olive oil: The olive oil you use will impact the flavor of the dip. Choose a good quality extra virgin olive oil.
  • Let the dip cool slightly before serving: This will allow the flavors to meld together and the dip to thicken slightly.
  • Serve the dip with a variety of dippers: Some popular dippers for creamy garlic dip include vegetables (such as carrots, celery, and cucumber), chips, and bread.

Conclusion:

Creamy garlic dip is a delicious and versatile dip that can be served with a variety of foods. It's perfect for parties, potlucks, or simply as a snack. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a creamy garlic dip that is sure to please everyone. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy appetizer, give creamy garlic dip a try.
