Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 can of a good brand of apple pie filling.
2 large white tortillas
dusting of powdered sugar
light sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg
vanilla or carmel delight ice cream if desired

Steps:

  • 1. Take one tortilla and lay it flat on a small cutting board. Spoon the apple pie filling onto the tortilla to within a half inch from the edge of the tortilla. Put the second tortilla on top of the first one, like a sandwich.
  • 2. Heat up your quesadilla maker and slide the apple quesadilla onto the griddle and close the lid and cook for 5 minutes. If you don't have a quesadilla maker, you can melt a little butter in a large skillet, not too much, over medium heat and slide the quesadilla into the skillet and brown, then carefully flip the quesadilla and brown the other side. Remove hot quesadilla to the cutting board. Cut the quesadilla in 6 pieces, and dust with powdered sugar, and lightly sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg. Serve hot with or without ice cream. Enjoy!

APPLE OR CHERRY OR BLUEBERRY PIE QUESADILLA

Apple or Cherry or Blueberry Pie Quesadilla image

A quick and easy dessert that is quite tasty. You can change the fruit filling and cheeses to suit your mood or use fresh fruit in season. If using fresh fruit, you may have to cook atop the stove for a few minutes to help break down the fruit. Add 1/4 C sugar for each 2 C fruit. You may end up with extra fruit, so make 2 Quesadillas. Use cream cheese with cherry and top with sugar. Use provolone with blueberry or blue cheese with blueberry. Very inexpensive, too.

Tips for Cream Cheese Apple Pie Quesadilla Perfection

- **Use ripe apples:** Softer apples with a sweet flavor, such as Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, or Gala, work best in this recipe. Avoid using hard or tart apples, as they won't soften properly during cooking. - **Slice apples thinly:** This will ensure that the apples cook evenly and quickly. - **Use a large skillet:** A large skillet will give you plenty of room to cook the quesadillas without overcrowding them. - **Cook over medium heat:** Medium heat will help to prevent the quesadillas from burning. - **Flip quesadillas carefully:** Use a spatula to gently flip the quesadillas so that they don't fall apart. - **Serve immediately:** Cream cheese apple pie quesadillas are best served hot out of the skillet.
