Tips:

  • Start with a high-quality ham. A good ham will have a deep red color and a firm texture.
  • Score the ham before baking. This will help the glaze to penetrate the meat and create a crispy crust.
  • Use a flavorful glaze. The glaze is what will give your ham its signature taste. There are many different glaze recipes to choose from, so find one that you like and experiment with it.
  • Cook the ham to the proper temperature. The internal temperature of the ham should reach 140 degrees Fahrenheit for a medium-rare ham or 160 degrees Fahrenheit for a well-done ham.
  • Let the ham rest before carving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making it more tender and flavorful.

Cranberry glazed ham is a classic holiday dish that is sure to impress your guests. With its sweet and tangy glaze, tender meat, and crispy crust, this ham is a delicious and festive addition to any holiday table.
