  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your Cornish loaf will be. Look for fresh, locally-sourced produce and high-quality meats and cheeses.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make it tough and dense. Mix it just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place: The dough needs to rise in a warm place in order to double in size. A warm oven or a sunny spot on the counter are both good options.
  • Bake the Cornish loaf until it is golden brown: The Cornish loaf is done baking when it is golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
