1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
3/4 cup canned pimentos, drained and finely chopped
1 1/2 quarts chopped green peppers
4 1/2 cups chopped onions
1 1/4 cups melted shortening or salad oil

Steps:

  • Cook bacon until crisp. Set aside.
  • Drain corn; mix with salt, pepper and pimentos. Saute peppers and onions in shortening until tender. Add to corn mixture.
  • Cook corn mixture over medium heat until hot, stirring constantly.
