1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
16 ounces powdered sugar
1-2 Tablespoons whole milk as needed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 ¾ cup sugar
1 cup sour cream, at room temperature
2 large eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 ½ cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and creamy. You can use a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment or a large bowl and electric hand mixer.
  • Add the sour cream, eggs, and vanilla. Beat well, stopping to scrape the bottom and sides of your bowl, to incorporate ingredients until smooth.
  • Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and beat on low until dry ingredients are combined.
  • The dough will be very soft and this is what we're looking for. Refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Portion cookies using a tablespoon or cookie scoop. Portion cookies and roll into a ball between hands. Add cookie balls to a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 11-12 minutes until the center is set and the edges are just starting to turn a light golden brown.
  • Cream the butter in a large bowl using a stand mixer with a paddle attachment or a hand mixer.
  • Add the powdered sugar and mix on low-speed until all of the sugar is combined.
  • Add in milk, 1 Tbsp at a time and vanilla extract to reach desired consistency.

1 cup sour cream
1 large egg yolk, room temperature
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

FILLING:
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 cup sugar
2-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat margarine and sour cream until blended. Add egg yolk; mix well. Combine flour and salt; add to margarine mixture and mix well (dough will be sticky). Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight., Preheat oven to 350°. Divide dough into eighths. On a well-floured surface, roll each portion into a 10-in. circle. Cut each circle into 8 triangles. Combine the walnuts, sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over each triangle. , Roll up triangles from the wide ends and place point side down 1 in. apart on parchment-lined baking sheets. 2 ¾ cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 ½ cups white sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
½ cup sour cream
½ teaspoon lemon extract
1 tablespoon white sugar
¼ cup chopped walnuts, or to taste
¼ cup raisins, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease baking sheets.
  • Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg together into a bowl.
  • Beat 1 1/2 cups sugar and butter together in a bowl using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition; blend in sour cream and lemon extract. Gradually stir flour mixture into creamed butter mixture until dough is combined.

¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup butter
¼ cup white sugar
¾ cup packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup white sugar
2 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In a medium bowl, cream butter with 1/4 cup white sugar and brown sugar. Mix in egg and vanilla.
