Steps:
- 1. Put the cinnamon into a bowl and add the applesauce in stages, mixing as you go until you have enough applesauce to moisten all the cinnamon and produce a dough.
- 2. This dough can be rolled and cut out with cookie cutters if you are careful not to make it too thin, about 1/4 inch thick is right.
- 3. You can also roll balls of it and if you like, flatten them into patties. Once dried, these cinnamon 'cookies' keep for years and smell great.
Tips:
- Choose high-quality cinnamon sticks. The better the quality of the cinnamon sticks, the better your sachets will smell.
- Use a variety of essential oils. Experiment with different essential oils to create different scents. Some popular choices include orange, clove, and nutmeg.
- Add some dried flowers or herbs. Dried flowers and herbs can add a beautiful touch to your sachets. Some popular choices include lavender, rose petals, and chamomile.
- Personalize your sachets. You can add a personal touch to your sachets by decorating them with ribbons, beads, or other embellishments.
- Give your sachets as gifts. Cinnamon sachets make great gifts for friends and family members. They are a thoughtful and unique way to show your appreciation.
