Tips:

  • Choose ripe, flavorful peaches: The quality of your peaches will greatly impact the final dish, so be sure to select ripe, juicy peaches that are free of blemishes. If you can't find fresh peaches, frozen peaches can also be used.
  • Use a variety of spices: The combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice gives this brown betty a warm, inviting flavor. You can also add a pinch of ginger or cardamom for a little extra spice.
  • Don't overcook the peaches: The peaches should be cooked until they are tender but still hold their shape. If you overcook them, they will become mushy and lose their flavor.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream: This brown betty is delicious served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. You can also top it with a sprinkle of chopped nuts or a drizzle of honey.

Conclusion:

Cinnamon Peach Brown Betty is a classic summer dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. The combination of sweet peaches, warm spices, and flaky crust is irresistible. Whether you serve it warm with ice cream or whipped cream, or at room temperature, this brown betty is sure to be a hit.
