1 box chocolate chunk premium brownie mix
water, vegetable oil and eggs as called for on brownie mix box
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2-3/4 tsp chipotle chili powder

1 tsp vanilla

Steps:

  • 2. Make brownie batter as directed on box, using water, oil, and eggs, adding cinnamon and chipotle powder until well blended. Spread into pan. Bake 39-42 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from edge comes out almost clean. Cool completely.

  • 4. NOTE: These are even better if you make your own brownies, but a mix is faster.

Tips:

  • Use unsweetened cocoa powder to achieve the richest chocolate flavor.
  • To ensure perfect consistency, sift together the dry ingredients before mixing them with the wet ingredients.
  • For a gooey center, do not overmix the batter. Overmixing can lead to a dense and dry brownie.
  • To prevent the brownies from sticking to the pan, line the baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with butter and dust it with cocoa powder.
  • To create a crispy top, sprinkle some coarse sugar or sea salt on top of the batter before baking.
  • Bake the brownies until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing and serving. This will help them set properly and prevent them from falling apart.
