Steps:
- Scoop the avocado flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocados and season with salt, pepper and lime juice. Stir in the cilantro, onions, garlic, mango, habanero and red bell pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Tips:
- Choose ripe mangoes for the best flavor. Look for mangoes that are slightly soft to the touch and have a sweet aroma.
- If your mangoes are not ripe, you can speed up the ripening process by placing them in a paper bag with an apple or banana. The ethylene gas released by these fruits will help to ripen the mangoes.
- To easily peel a mango, score the skin lengthwise and crosswise, then use your fingers to peel the skin off in strips.
- If you don't have a molcajete, you can use a mortar and pestle or a food processor to make the guacamole. Just be careful not to over-process the guacamole, or it will become too smooth.
- To prevent the guacamole from browning, you can add a tablespoon of lime juice or lemon juice. You can also cover the surface of the guacamole with plastic wrap or beeswax paper.
Conclusion:
Chunky mango guacamole is a delicious and refreshing dip that is perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. Whether you like it spicy or mild, chunky or smooth, there's a mango guacamole recipe out there for you. So next time you're looking for a healthy and flavorful snack or appetizer, give chunky mango guacamole a try.
