CHOCOLATE DESSERT WAFFLES WITH RASPBERRIES
When I was a little girl, growing up in Kansas City, Mo., my mother made these waffles for the family, especially if we were expecting company. For a little girl, the best part of this was the waffle iron Mother used. It was called a "Mazie Lee". All the waffles came out with a sun, moon and stars on them. The iron was used on the stovetop, so you cooked one side at a time. The iron is in my possession, and I enjoy making this treat for my family.

Tips:
- Use high-quality chocolate: The type of chocolate you use will make a big difference in the flavor of your dessert waffles. Opt for a rich, dark chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will result in tough, dense waffles. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
- Let the batter rest: Letting the batter rest for 10-15 minutes before cooking will allow the flour to absorb the liquid and produce a more tender waffle.
- Cook the waffles over medium heat: Cooking the waffles over medium heat will help them cook evenly without burning.
- Serve the waffles immediately: Dessert waffles are best served warm and fresh out of the waffle maker.
Conclusion:
Chocolaty dessert waffles are a delicious and decadent treat that can be enjoyed for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. They are easy to make and can be customized with your favorite toppings. Whether you like them simple with just a dusting of powdered sugar or loaded with whipped cream and chocolate sauce, these waffles are sure to please everyone at the table.
