CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRY PIE
Sweet, pretty & easy to put together. I'm not a big cherry fan but I eat anything that involves chocolate. Cooking time includes chilling time.

i got this recipe from my cousins girlfriend and if you are a diabetic...DO NOT TRY. IT IS VERY easy and very sweet. also if you do not have almond extract, vanilla works just as good.

Steps:
- 1. mix sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips, add salt. put in microwave for 30 seconds to one minute (just until milk gets hot enough to melt chips). mix until all morsels are melted. add almond extract and cherry pie filling.stir until well blended. pour into graham cracker crust. refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.
- 2. *when microwaving be careful because the milk will "boil" out and it will be VERY HOT.
Tips:
- For the best results, use fresh cherries. If using frozen cherries, thaw them completely and drain them well before using.
- To prevent the cherries from sinking to the bottom of the pie, toss them with a little bit of flour before adding them to the pie filling.
- Be careful not to overcook the pie filling. The cherries should be soft but still hold their shape.
- If you don't have a pie crust mix on hand, you can make your own using the recipe included in the blog post.
- To make the chocolate ganache, use high-quality chocolate. This will make a big difference in the flavor of the ganache.
- Be sure to chill the ganache completely before using it. This will help it to set up properly.
Conclusion:
This chocolate-covered cherry pie is a delicious and decadent dessert that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of sweet cherries, rich chocolate, and flaky pie crust is sure to please everyone. With just a little bit of effort, you can make this pie at home and impress your friends and family.
