Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start baking, measure and prepare all of your ingredients. This will help you stay organized and avoid mistakes.
  • Use High-Quality Ingredients: The better the ingredients you use, the better your cake will taste. Choose high-quality chocolate, fresh cherries, and unsalted butter.
  • Do Not Overmix the Batter: Overmixing the batter can result in a tough, dense cake. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the Cake Layers Evenly: To ensure that the cake layers bake evenly, rotate the pans halfway through the baking time.
  • Let the Cake Cool Completely: Before you frost the cake, let it cool completely. This will help prevent the frosting from melting.
  • Use a Pastry Bag to Frost the Cake: A pastry bag will help you achieve a smooth, even frosting. If you don't have a pastry bag, you can use a knife or spatula.
