8 boneless chicken breasts
1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 13 3/4 oz. chicken broth
2 Tbsp. Half and half

Steps:

  • In skillet over medium heat in 6 tbsp. Butter cook chicken pieces a few at a time until browned on all sides. Set aside chicken. In drippings add remaining 2 Tbsp butter and cook mushrooms until golden (5 minutes). Remove mushrooms with slotted spoon. Into drippings add flour and salt until blended. Gradually add in chicken broth and half and half stirring constantly until mixture is thickened. Place chicken and mushrooms in skillet, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer about 20 minutes.

1/2 lb mushroom, sliced
1/3 cup all-purpose flour

1 (13 3/4 ounce) can chicken broth
2 tablespoons half-and-half

Steps:

  • About 1 hour before serving:.
  • Melt 6 tablespoons butter or margarine in 12
  • inch skillet or dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add chicken, a few pieces at a time, and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from pan.
