  • Add salt, pepper and red pepper flakes to taste.
  • Transfer salad to serving dish. May be served immediately or chilled for 30 minutes or overnight.

CHICKEN BLT PASTA SALAD

Chicken BLT Pasta Salad image

Yield 10

Number Of Ingredients 10

4-6 chicken breast, cooked and cut into bite size pieces
3 cups bowtie noodles, cooked and drained
2 cups spinach leaves
3 cups romain lettuce leaves
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
10-12 strips of bacon (cooked and diced)
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
salt and pepper, to taste
1 avocado (diced)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the chicken breast pieces, noodles, spinach, Romain lettuce, tomatoes and bacon until fully combined.
  • In a smaller separate bowl, combine the ranch, barbecue sauce, and a dash of salt and pepper. Mix until fully incorporated.
  • Add the dressing to the salad.
  • Sprinkle with extra pepper and add avocado as a garnish.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make all the difference in your pasta salad. Look for ripe tomatoes, crisp bacon, and tender chicken.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Chicken can quickly become dry and tough if it's overcooked. Cook it just until it's cooked through, then remove it from the heat and let it cool.
  • Use a variety of textures: A good pasta salad should have a variety of textures, from the soft pasta to the crisp bacon and vegetables. Aim for a mix of textures that will keep your taste buds interested.
  • Don't drown the salad in dressing: A little dressing goes a long way. Too much dressing will make the salad soggy and heavy. Start with a small amount of dressing and add more to taste.
  • Chill the salad before serving: Pasta salad is best served chilled. This allows the flavors to meld and the salad to firm up.

Conclusion:

Chicken BLT pasta salad is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that's perfect for summer potlucks and picnics. It's packed with flavor and texture, and it's sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give chicken BLT pasta salad a try. You won't be disappointed!
