AWESOME CHEESY HOT CRAB DIP

Awesome Cheesy Hot Crab Dip image

I got this recipe from a Southern Living Magazine a couple of years ago. It was an instant favorite, and I get so many requests for the recipe that I figured I would make it easy on myself and just post it. I usually use more Old Bay, Tabasco, and scallions than it says, cause I like a little extra kick. It really is AWESOME, especially with crusty french bread.

Tips:

  • Use fresh crab meat for the best flavor. If you can't find fresh crab meat, you can use frozen crab meat that has been thawed in the refrigerator overnight.
  • Shred the crab meat into small pieces. This will help it to evenly distribute throughout the dip.
  • Use a good quality cheese. A sharp cheddar cheese or a combination of cheddar and mozzarella cheese will give the dip a rich and flavorful taste.
  • Don't overcook the dip. The crab meat should be cooked through, but it should not be tough or rubbery.
  • Serve the dip hot with crackers, chips, or vegetables.

Conclusion:

This cheesy hot crab dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. With its creamy, cheesy texture and flavorful crab meat, this dip is sure to be a hit with your guests. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy appetizer, give this cheesy hot crab dip a try. You won't be disappointed!
