Time 3h20m

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 bratwursts cut in chunks
4 medium potatoes peeled and cubed
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
2 medium red peppers diced
2 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 can(s) green beans drained
1 c water

Steps:

  • 1. Brown the bratwurst in skillet until no longer pink. Add dry minced onion and cook for 1 minute.
  • 2. Add brats and all other ingredients to crock pot. Cook 3 hours until potatoes are fork tender.

Tips:

  • Choose good quality bratwurst: Look for bratwurst made with fresh, high-quality meat. Avoid bratwurst that is overly processed or contains a lot of fillers.
  • Brown the bratwurst before stewing: Browning the bratwurst before adding it to the stew will help to develop its flavor and give it a nice caramelized crust.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: Don't be afraid to experiment with different vegetables in your stew. Some good options include potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, and bell peppers.
  • Add some herbs and spices: Herbs and spices can help to add depth of flavor to your stew. Some good options include garlic, thyme, rosemary, and paprika.
  • Don't overcook the stew: The bratwurst and vegetables should be cooked through, but you don't want to overcook them or they will become mushy.
  • Serve with your favorite sides: Cheesy bratwurst stew can be served with a variety of sides, such as mashed potatoes, rice, or bread.

Conclusion:

Cheesy bratwurst stew is a hearty and flavorful dish that is perfect for a cold winter day. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you are looking for a comforting and satisfying meal, give cheesy bratwurst stew a try.
