Number Of Ingredients 11

1 (20 ounce) package shredded hash browns (refrigerated kind)
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
4 ounces light sour cream (I use the Daisy brand)
1/4 cup 2% low-fat milk
2/3 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided

1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika

Tips:

  • Use fresh potatoes: Fresh potatoes will give you the best flavor and texture for your hash browns. Avoid using potatoes that are old or have been sitting around for a while.
  • Shred your potatoes evenly: This will help them cook evenly and prevent some pieces from being overcooked while others are still undercooked.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: If you overcrowd the pan, the hash browns will steam instead of fry and they will be soggy. Cook the hash browns in batches if necessary.
  • Cook the hash browns until they are golden brown and crispy: This will give them the best flavor and texture. Don't be afraid to let them cook for a few minutes longer than you think you need to, they will only get better.
  • Season the hash browns to taste: Salt and pepper are a good start, but you can also add other seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
  • Serve the hash browns immediately: Hash browns are best served hot out of the pan. They can be served with eggs, bacon, sausage, or fruit.

Conclusion:

Cheesy bacon hash browns are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast or brunch dish. They are perfect for a crowd and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a dish that is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy breakfast or brunch recipe, give cheesy bacon hash browns a try. You won't be disappointed!
