CHEERIO SQUARES

My mom used to make this instead of rice crispy treats. Honestly I like these way more than the rice crispy version. For a twist, use Honey Nut Cheerios. I have set it up so that the Prep time is the the time on the stovetop and cook time is the time to let it set up in the pan. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Use fresh Cheerios. Stale Cheerios can make your squares tough and chewy.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make your squares dense and dry.
  • Bake the squares until they are just set. Overbaking will make them dry and crumbly.
  • Let the squares cool completely before cutting them. This will help them to hold their shape.
  • Store the squares in an airtight container at room temperature. They will stay fresh for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

Cheerio squares are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion.
