Here's what you need: clear corn syrup, granulated sugar, peanut butter, vanilla extract, corn flakes cereal

1 cup clear corn syrup
1 cup granulated sugar
1 ½ cups peanut butter, crunchy or smooth peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups corn flakes cereal

Steps:

  • Put sugar and syrup in a saucepan, stir, and heat to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and add the peanut butter and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
  • In big mixing bowl, pour over the corn flakes. Combine gently so all the corn flakes are covered.
  • Drop by teaspoon onto foil. Makes a bunch. Allow to cool and set up, about an hour.

1/2 cup butter flavored crisco
2 eggs
2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups unsifted all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup finely chopped nuts (your choice)
2 teaspoons baking powder

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees;Grease 13x9x2 inch baking pan with butter flavored crisco
  • 2. Beat eggs until light and foamy in large bowl of electric mixer (or use large bowl and hand held electric mixer)
  • 3. Beat in sugar,vanilla and butter flavored crisco until creamy texture
  • 4. Combine flour with baking powder and salt.Add to the egg mixture.Mix at low speed until blended.
  • 5. Stir in the nuts at low speed (mixture will be stiff)
  • 6. Spread evenly in prepared pan.Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until top is light brown.
  • 7. Cool 10-15 minutes.Cut into bars.Makes 2 dozen medium sized or 24 small sized.

1 1/2 c all purpose flour, sifted
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
