Tips:

  • Choose the right pork chops: Look for pork chops that are at least 1 inch thick. This will ensure that they stay juicy and flavorful during cooking.
  • Butterfly the pork chops: Butterflying the pork chops will help them cook evenly and more quickly. To butterfly a pork chop, simply slice it horizontally through the center, almost but not all the way through. Open the pork chop like a book and pound it to an even thickness.
  • Season the pork chops: Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices. You can also add a marinade or rub to the pork chops for extra flavor.
  • Cook the pork chops over medium heat: Cooking the pork chops over medium heat will help them cook evenly and prevent them from drying out.
  • Use a meat thermometer: Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the pork chops are cooked to your desired doneness. Pork chops are safe to eat when they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the pork chops rest before serving: Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meat, making them more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Butterflied pork chops are a delicious and easy-to-make meal. By following these tips, you can cook perfect pork chops every time. Serve them with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad. Enjoy!
