These sliders are super easy to put together and are always a hit! I love that they are "fast food" without having to go to a restaurant. Take them to a party, make them for dinner or serve them on game day. The meat can also be made ahead of time in preparation for your gathering. -April Lee Wiencek, Chicago, Illinois

Time 30m

Yield 12 sliders

Number Of Ingredients 13

2 pounds ground beef
2 large eggs, beaten
3/4 cup minced onion, divided
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 package (17 ounces) dinner rolls
1/2 cup Thousand Island salad dressing, divided
10 slices American cheese
12 sliced dill pickles
1-1/2 cups shredded Iceberg lettuce
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, mix beef, eggs, 1/2 cup minced onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper just until combined; do not overmix. Place meat mixture on a large, parchment-lined baking sheet; shape into two, 6-in. x 8-in. rectangles, each about 1/2-inch thick. Bake until a thermometer reads 160°, 15-20 minutes., Meanwhile, without separating rolls, cut rolls in half horizontally. Spread 1/4 cup of dressing evenly over bottom halves of rolls., Blot meat with paper towels to remove excess fat; top meat with cheese and return to oven. Bake until cheese has just melted, 2-3 minutes. Place meat on bottom halves of rolls; spread with remaining 1/4 cup dressing. Layer with pickles, remaining 1/4 cup minced onion and shredded lettuce; replace with top halves of rolls. Brush butter on top of rolls; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

The flavor combo in this recipe is just plain yummy! I may cut down on the cooking time a tad the next time I make these, but that is totally in the eye of the cook.

Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 lb ground sirloin
3 Tbsp dill pickle relish
3 Tbsp steak sauce or worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp grill seasoning [ i use the mesquite grill mates mccormick) i use it for every thing..
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 c ranch dressing
1/2 c ketchup
1 tsp ground black pepp
2 c chopped iceberg lettuce (you can buy bags all ready chopped.. shredded..i use this
1 pkg king's hawaiian sweet rolls
american cheese if wanted

Steps:

  • 1. Mix meat and next 4 ingredients by hands. Then i use my cookie scoop and HEAPING scoops and roll them in a ball and put them on a large cookie sheet. Use parchment paper so they do not stick to pan. Then put another paperon top.. u can use wax paper all so.. Put on top of round balls. Then put another cookie sheet on top to flatten hamburger balls. Push down and flatten them..
  • 2. Cook them inside or grill OR These patties can also be baked on cookie sheets in preheated 400 degree F oven for 10 to 12 minutes. But, on a hot indoor or outdoor grill, these small burgers will take just 2 or 3 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  • 3. To make sauce, combine ranch dressing with ketchup and black pepper,,, and use Kings Hawaiian Sweet Rolls.... these are so good and have a hint of sweetness..yumo
  • 4. I all so added american chees while cooking...serve on dinner rolls with chopped lettuce, chopped onion and Special Sauce.

Tips:

  • Choose the right beef. Ground chuck or sirloin are good options for sliders, as they have a good amount of fat and flavor. You can also use a blend of ground beef and ground pork for a more flavorful slider.
  • Season the beef well. Use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to season the beef. You can also add other herbs and spices to your taste, such as chili powder, cumin, or paprika.
  • Form the patties into thin, even circles. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Cook the patties over medium heat. This will help prevent them from drying out.
  • Toast the buns. This will help them hold up to the juicy burgers.
  • Make the secret sauce. The secret sauce is a key component of these sliders. It's a creamy, tangy sauce that complements the beef patties perfectly.
  • Assemble the sliders. Place a patty on each bun bottom. Top with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Drizzle with secret sauce and place the bun top on the slider.
  • Serve immediately. Sliders are best served hot and fresh.

Conclusion:

These burger sliders with secret sauce are the perfect party food. They're easy to make, delicious, and sure to be a hit with everyone. So next time you're looking for an easy and delicious appetizer or snack, give these burger sliders a try.
