BUFFALO PIEROGIES
Tonight we had these withour dinner as a side/appetizer type thing. They went over very well! I think these would be just as good if you fried the pierogis and then tossed them with the sauce. This is adapted from a recipe by Sara Moulton.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400ºF. Combine oil, hot sauce and chili powder; toss with the pierogies. Coat a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and spread pierogies evenly on the baking sheet. Bake at 400ºF for 16 to 18 minutes or until pierogies are puffed and browned. For best results turn over once, halfway through bake time. Serve with blue cheese dressing, carrots and celery. Optional: Deep fry pierogies in 350ºF oil for 3 minutes or until golden brown, as directed on box.
Tips:
- Use a good quality pierogi dough. You can make your own dough or buy it pre-made. If you are buying pre-made dough, look for a dough that is soft and pliable.
- Don't overcook the pierogies. Pierogies are best when they are cooked until they are just tender. Overcooking will make them tough and chewy.
- Use a flavorful sauce. The sauce is what really makes buffalo pierogies special. Be sure to use a sauce that is spicy and flavorful. You can use a store-bought sauce or make your own.
- Serve the pierogies with your favorite toppings. Some popular toppings for buffalo pierogies include blue cheese dressing, celery, and carrots. You can also serve them with a side of ranch dressing or sour cream.
Conclusion:
Buffalo pierogies are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. They are perfect for parties or game day gatherings. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a dish that is sure to impress your guests. So next time you are looking for something new to try, give buffalo pierogies a try.
