Tips:

  • To achieve the perfect golden brown color for your glaze, keep a close eye on the butter as it browns. It can quickly go from perfectly browned to burnt, so be patient and stir constantly.
  • Make sure to use unsalted butter for this recipe. Salted butter can make the glaze too salty, especially if you are using it to glaze sweet dishes.
  • If you are using the glaze on roasted vegetables, be sure to toss them with the glaze while they are still hot. This will help the glaze adhere to the vegetables and give them a delicious caramelized flavor.
  • You can also use browned butter glaze to glaze grilled or roasted meats, fish, or chicken. It adds a rich, savory flavor that is sure to please everyone at the table.
  • If you have any leftover glaze, you can store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Simply reheat it gently in a saucepan over low heat before using.
