"BROCCOMOLE" DIP

Time 5m

Yield 1 1/2 cups, 12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 cups broccoli stems, well cooked
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 large tomatoes, seeded & diced
1 scallion, sliced (white & green)
2 tablespoons green chilies, chopped

Steps:

  • Place broccoli stems, lemon juice, cumin & garlic powder in a blender or food processor & puree until smooth, then transfer to a bowl.
  • Add remaining ingredients & mix well.
  • Before serving, chill well for the best flavor.

Tips for Making the Perfect Broccomole:

  • Choose the freshest broccoli possible. Fresh broccoli will have a deep green color and firm florets.
  • Steam or boil the broccoli until it is tender but still has a slight crunch. Overcooked broccoli will be mushy and lose its flavor.
  • Use a food processor or blender to puree the broccoli. A food processor will give you a smoother texture, while a blender will give you a chunkier texture.
  • Add your desired seasonings and ingredients. Common additions to broccomole include garlic, onion, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. You can also add other ingredients like avocado, cheese, or bacon.
  • Serve broccomole immediately or store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Broccomole is best served fresh, but it will keep in the refrigerator for a few days.

Conclusion:

Broccomole is a healthy and delicious dip or spread that can be enjoyed as a snack, appetizer, or side dish. It is a great way to get your daily dose of vegetables and it is also a good source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Broccomole is also a versatile dish that can be customized to your liking. So next time you are looking for a healthy and tasty snack or appetizer, give broccomole a try.
