Time 1h30m

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 can(s) (15 ounce cans) pork and beans
7 slice bacon
1/2 onion, diced
1/4 c brown sugar
2 Tbsp molasses
2 Tbsp tomato paste
2 Tbsp yellow mustard
1/8 tsp garlic powder

Steps:

  • 1. Slice bacon into bite sized pieces. In skillet fry bacon over medium to medium high heat until most fat has rendered, and is almost fully cooked, but not real crispy
  • 2. Remove bacon from pan, add onions and cook on med-low to med heat until onion is soft and translucent.
  • 3. While onions are cooking, add the 4 cans of beans into an oven safe casserole dish.
  • 4. In a separate bowl, mix together Molasses, Tomato paste, Mustard, Garlic and Brown Sugar.
  • 5. Add Molasses mixture and bacon and onions to beans and mix to combine.
  • 6. Bake at 350 for an hour, or until mixture thickens and it is the consistency you prefer.
